The Voice of Democracy On-line

Yes! I want to help the Democracy Movement tell people the truth about Britain's relationship with the European Union by supporting the Keep the Pound campaign.

While the Government and pro-euro organisations use taxpayers' money to fund propaganda supporting the euro and an EU state, the Democracy Movement relies on the donations of supporters to fund our campaigns.

Credit card donations can be made by calling our Supporter Hotline on 0870 511 0440 (charged at national rate), or using our new, secure online donation form. To make your donation online, click here to open the payment form in a new browser window.

Alternatively, if you prefer to donate by post, please send a cheque made payable to 'The Democracy Movement' to:

How your contribution can help:

£800 would pay for Keep the Pound stalls at two county fairs, bringing our campaign to tens of thousands of visitors to these popular events. During 2002 our stalls were inundated with people wanting information and to register their support. We averaged 800 new supporters and distributed thousands of leaflets at each county fair our branches attended. Help us to attend as many fairs and rallies as possible during 2003.

£400 would pay for an initial mailing, venue hire for a local meeting and everything necessary to set up a local Democracy Movement campaign in an area where we don't currently have a branch. Having an active, local campaign in every town and city will be the key to winning the euro referendum.

£100 would pay for 200 A2-sized Keep the Pound posters which our supporters put up in their homes, shop windows and public places to publicise the strong support for the pound, each one seen by hundreds of passers-by.

£50 would pay for one 5ft x 3ft 'Keep the Pound' vinyl banner that branches use as a backdrop to street stalls, helping passers-by to see the stall more easily and to attract more support and interest to the campaign. Branches also use these professionally-produced banners for public meetings, publicity stunts and demonstrations.

£20 would pay for 1250 Keep the Pound leaflets for our branches to distribute in their local areas, helping to spread the reasons why Britain should keep the pound.

£15 would pay for the maintenance and improvement of this web site for 2 weeks. Now updated weekly, our web site is rapidly growing and improving. The site gets around 20,000 hits a week and generates hundreds of e-mails, registrations of support and requests for information and literature about our Keep the Pound campaign.
